The Concept!

The plan is to drive around America in an RV visiting as many cool exciting places and experiencing as much of the culture as possible in 6 weeks.
It would be nice to do it without getting lost!...Glenn
It would also be great if we could do it without a backseat driver!...Kate
... and if we could do it without killing each other or our children it would be even better.

The Eagle has landed.....

Well we arrived after a tumultuous beginning. The flight was uneventful, the boys were even allowed to go up to the cockpit and take some photos before the flight!

After the landing we hired a car and had to find an outlet shopping mall to settle the nerves...The fact that it was an outdoor mall and it was raining and baltic did nothing to deter our stalwart shopper and Kate managed to grapple with a few 'bargains'. After the shopping we headed of to Palm Springs to experience the desert of California. We stayed at a quaint resort which had got lost in the 50's and still hadn't found it way back, although they had found inflation...

The next day we thought we might go to San Diego to visit such places as the world famous zoo, on the way we decided that since we had gone that far we might as well go over the border into Mexico...

The next post will explain that little adventure further....

  2. I feel I should defend myself, I've been totally misrepresented by my second husband of 36 hours (we may not make Brittany Spear's 56 hours record). We didn't NEED to find an outlet mall - we just NEEDED to find the only outlet mall that has a Jimmy Choo outlet store and it happened to be in Palm Springs (imagine my surprise). There was NO other shopping. To clarify, this meant I walked past over 300 stores without so much as blinking. I'm saving myself for the outlets in NY! Love Kate xo
